  Hi! This is my first post on this blog and may become a deleted post as it is simply a tester-post. Or it could become a testament of time to my future self. 

My goal for this blog is not that it becomes a successful one but that I have a space for all my thoughts and ideas or أفكار in Arabic - as this blog was named. 

Currently I am sitting in the fancy salon of my grandparents house in Tripoli, my mother's home-city in Lebanon. My aunties, their daughter, and my grandmother, are all sitting around my one cousin who's just announced her pregnancy to us. We've laughed about it and played a game of guessing the baby's gender, all of us expecting a little boy after her older daughters. 

I'll update this blog as I go, of course, but for now here's my first post. Hope future-me looks back on it one day and smiles seeing where it all started.
